This course provides an in-depth study of various aspects of computer based editing. Emphasis is placed on video and audio recording and advanced editing techniques using computer software. Upon completion, students should be able to use computer-based hardware and software for video production.
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
Be able to write, edit, criticize and explain the merits of a script for a 3-5 minute video production.
Define the elements of personal style and artistic vision incorporated into an extended project.
Create a storyboard for a 3-5 minute production.
Select appropriate environmental techniques for shooting video forage.
Select appropriate special effects and graphics for use in a 3-5 minute video.
Edit sound and picture for a 3-5 minute video using digital editing system.
Be able to explain, analyze, and critically evaluate all projects.
